Where 2 with web 2.0?

Hello there Library Landers,

Even just creating a blog has shown me so much and how user friendly WEB 2.0 Technology is. Makes me wonder why I've never done it before. Whilst learning with my team on the first day it was interesting to see just how team building a program like this can be. Whilst I am not completely savvy on the technology it was great to help my team mates and collaberate to get there together. I think that engaging in training together we are fostering relationships and producing the neccessary social aspects of learning which are often absent within the online learning environment. In helping my colleagues and them helping me it has given me even more confidence and knowledge which will prove useful in the future delivery WEB 2.0 training in the library. With this in mind I can see that having a play and giving the program a go my eyes and my mind will be so more open for doing so.

Lifelong Learning is a very interesting concept and a lifeskill well worth your learning. A skill that has become even more important with the increase of social networking sites and other related WEB 2.0 Technology. As the video by Michael Wesch illustrates in order for people to operate, communicate and collaborate people will continually have to learn and update their skills. Or as Katagal Kapers aptly outlined in her blog "If you stop learning you stop living".

In perusing the existing blogs out there I can see that the possible uses in the library environment are endless. I particularly liked the blogs with other languages as a feature because it is another way that blogs can facilitate communication and break down language barriers.

Keep On Blogging

Luke.
